A great way to see birds in action is to have a Birdbath or Bird Fountain in your yard. It does not have to be huge or fancy,  A good spot to place it would be an area where you can watch the goings on but not have too much foot traffic all the time. A good example is my parents home. They have a Pedestal Birdbath in a Shaded Garden area. Everyday Songbirds come to clean and drink in it and climb up the branches in several of the bushes and trees growing there. What I also like is that they bring beautiful plants into their garden. They have a volunteer Fig Tree, several Ferns and Oak Trees from these birds that travel the neighborhood and hillsides.
